Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for estate planning and probate clients
- Schedule client meetings and maintain attorney calendars
- Assist in preparing, proofreading, and organizing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
- Assist with probate and trust administration matters
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions, courts, and other professionals
- Track deadlines and ensure matters progress efficiently
- Handle incoming calls, correspondence, and administrative support for attorneys
- Perform conflict checks
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior legal assistant experience preferred (estate planning, probate, or trust administration experience is a plus)
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding client service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
Working Conditions
- Full-time
- Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds
