Position Overview

We are a growing, dynamic law firm seeking a Paralegal to to support attorneys practicing in multiple practice areas, including criminal, family law, workers’ compensation, and personal injury. The ideal candidate will manage case files from intake through resolution, assist with legal document preparation, and maintain consistent communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

Key Responsibilities

  • File and document management
  • Draft, format, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
  • Request, review and summarize medical records and bills
  • Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance carriers
  • Coordinate court appearances, hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
  • Manage evidence, subpoenas, and witness information
  • Online research of court records/official records
  • Maintain sensitive and confidential client information

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate or degree from an ABA approved paralegal program preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience, or comparable legal studies education required
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software (e.g. Litify).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Criminal Law, Family Law, Workers’ Compensation and/or Personal Injury

Working Conditions

  • Full-time
  • Office environment, with flexibility for occasional remote work based on business needs.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Salary commensurate with experience.

Pay: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour
