Emmanuel Sheppard & Condon announces the election of Jennifer Shoaf Richardson to shareholder with the firm

Pensacola, FLA. (January 31, 2024) – Emmanuel Sheppard & Condon (ESC) is pleased to announce Jennifer Shoaf Richardson has become a shareholder with the Firm.

Jennifer has been with the Firm since 2021 as a Director and as the Labor and Employment Practice Group Leader.  Prior to joining Emmanuel Sheppard & Condon, Jennifer served as an associate for a national AmLaw 100 employment firm. As a Pensacola native, she enjoys assisting panhandle employers of all sizes thrive and protect their most important assets – their people. She litigates all varieties of employment law matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Workers’ Compensation retaliation, disability, whistleblower, the Equal Pay Act, wage and hour, and non-compete agreements. 

She is an active leader in the community, serving as past president of the statewide Florida Association for Women Lawyers and current Vice Chair of its newly formed 501(c)(3).  As President of FAWL, she drew national attention to the need for lactation space in courthouses, which recently became law in Florida, and the need for equal parental leave for attorneys. She has also served as the President of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association and as a member of her former circuit’s Judicial Nominating Commission. Locally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce and the Northwest Regional Council for Leadership Florida.
