EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- College degree or paralegal certificate preferred
- 3+ years employment law and/or personal injury experience preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Analytical capabilities
- Detail oriented
- Ability to take direction from attorneys and determine priority of assigned work
- Ability to work with little supervision, using effective interpersonal, cooperative and communication skills
- Task oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Team player
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drafting discovery requests and responses, pleadings, motions, orders and correspondence
- Large document control and indexing
- Online research of court records, official records
- Research and analyze statutes and case law
- Calendaring and deadline computation and tickle system
- Assist with trial preparation and exhibit control
- Work closely with clients and opposing counsel
- Schedule hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Electronically file documents with the court
- Manage assigned case load
